BarSport Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
Welcome to BarSport. We believe in digital justice, not digital surveillance. As an EU-based company, we strictly adhere to GDPR. This policy explains how we handle your data when you enter the arena.
1. The Data We Collect
- Account Data: When you sign in via Apple or Google Single Sign-On (SSO), we collect your basic profile information (email, name, avatar).
- Location Data (Geofencing): To use the "Call Next" feature or participate in Faction Turf Wars, BarSport requires temporary GPS access. We do not track your background location. We only verify if you are within the 150-meter geofence of a registered Venue at the exact moment you attempt to join a queue or complete a match.
- Match & Telemetry Data: We permanently store your match history, Elo rating fluctuations, and Faction/Clan affiliations to maintain the integrity of the global leaderboard.
2. Public vs. Private Data
Your BarSport username, Elo rating, Level, Faction, and Clan affiliation are strictly public. By competing in BarSport, you agree that your stats will be visible on Venue leaderboards and the global War Map. Your email address and exact device identifiers remain strictly private.
3. Data Deletion & Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to be forgotten. You may delete your account at any time via the settings menu in the BarSport app. Deleting your account will instantly anonymize your match history (to preserve the Elo math for your past opponents) and permanently erase your personal identifiers.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your data to data brokers. Venue Admins (bar owners) can only see aggregate data (e.g., "50 matches played tonight") and the public profiles of players currently in their active queue.
